The last time I tried jet-skiing from within the comfort of my own home, I shot out the back window, skipped across the pool, and landed in the neighbor’s back yard. Kids, don’t try that at home.
But what your kids can try at home is the Jet Ski Video Game, which is a whole lot safer to use in your living room. Essentially, the system is composed of a game console that plugs into your T.V., and interacts via wireless communication with an inflatable jet-ski, that also acts as the controller for the game! The Jet-ski itself is inflatable and 52″, and can hold up to 110 pounds. This system is completely wireless, so don’t worry about the kids tripping over wires when they get off this thing.
Any movement you make on the inflatable jet ski is transmitted to the video game console, so you literally control the action in the game from your jet-ski. If you lean left on the jet ski, you lean left on the game, and so forth. The controller also senses whether you accelerate or brake, and the game reacts accordingly. The jet ski game acutally requires a good amount of exercise. The game reacts to the waves as well, bouncing on each ripple, just like you would on the open water.
Now, you don’t need to inflate the jet ski if you don’t want to, and the controller will still work, so you can play the games without needing to actually sit on the jet-ski. ,but it’s more fun sitting on the jet ski. Trust me.
The Jet Ski Game system itself provides 16-bit graphics, and there are 6 different games you can play. The console plugs directly into your TV, and the jet-ski comes with a handy foot pump for quick inflation. This remote console is a piece of cake to setup on any given TV. Simply plugin through the RGB cables and your ready for action.
However, the device is not intended to work as an actual floatation device. Boy, did I learn that one the hard way. Requires 8 AA batteries which are not included, so if this is a gift, make sure to buy batteries as well.
