Unlike JarJar Binks, R2-D2 is a much loved character from the Star Wars movie series. Star Wars toys are loved by most fans and a select few have taken their collections to the extreme.
This Star Wars robot however, is a definite must for any collector. Unlike many of the previous toys, this is not one made to sit on a shelf and it’s not because of its size. The Star Wars R2-D2 Interactive Droid Robot can be a great friend as well as a protector.
It comes with a multitude of settings that and you can buy it so that the kids have a great time with it.
The Star Wars R2-D2 character can be controlled using voice activation and commands alone. There is no need to hunt around your home looking for a remote because it doesn’t come with one. After you have assembled your new friend, there are a number of commands that you can test out.
Like the movie, R2-D2 will communicate with you by making a series of beep and whistles. He also comes with flashing lights and the top part which could be considered his head, will swivel and turn as it talks back to you.
You can save this toy and put it away as a Star Wars memorabilia but where is the fun in that? If you’re in the mood to play, you can make a series of commands to the R2-D2 robot. He will play tag with you or the kids if you’re in the mood or you can turn some music and go with the flow as he dances around your home and spins around.
A special feature called “Command” will have him moving around randomly in all different directions.
R2-D2 also knows 30 key phrases and when you speak them he will react in a few different ways. If you say Darth Vader the robot will shiver in fear from the tyrant or you can mention Princess Leia and it will whistle.
You can also have him serve you using a utility arm that can hold your drinks. Set the R2-D2 robot outside of your room and he can be used as a security device. This is an all in one toy or Star Wars collectible that is a must have for fans and gadget lovers alike.
