The MySky GPS Star Finder Tracker can actually claim what few gadgets cannot, it is an original idea and a unique piece of equipment. This locator aims to make star gazing easier for those who are interested in the subject of astronomy. Pop in some batteries and you will be on the way to pointing your star finder at the sky in search of stars and other astrological findings.
The star finder alerts you to the location that you are pointing it towards and it also shows the time through its GPS included unit.
You will find three different modes on the MySky and they are Find, Guided Tour and Identify.
The identify mode will show you via the LCD screen, images of sky and any constellations that are visible, all in real time action. You can point it in any direction and it will identify astrological objects in the sky that it is facing.
One mode known as the Guided Tour will show you views of everything that can be seen at the time of your star gazing. If it’s visible, the guided tour mode will make sure that you can easily take in the sites.
If you want a more detailed file, you can select the find mode to zero in on specific view points such as comets, planets and even galaxies.
Included in this unique star map is the ability to easily view the sights through the use of red lights that will illuminate. Ear phones are included to help you block out the natural night sounds for a quiet alone time with your astrology and MySky GPS Star Finder.
You can store the data collected on an included SD card that holds up to 256 MB of information. The Mysky uses 4 AA batteries but it has settings in place to help conserve their energy so that you can star gaze without running out of power.
