The LG Dare VX9700 at first look is similar to an iPhone. It has a large, resistive touch surface, silver sides, buttons, and port covers. There are two sensors on the top margin; a proximity sensor which helps the phone determine the touch sensitivity when there are calls, and a light sensor that controls the brightness of the backlight.
The screen is 3 inches, slightly smaller than the Instinct and Iphone but its bigger than the Voyager and Glyde. When you turn the phone from vertical to horizontal while looking at pictues or the internet the screen will automatically rotate with it, much like the iphone.

A notable feature about the LG Dare is that you could save a list of your favorite contacts so that you can have a quick access to them later. The contacts in the phonebook can store multiple information like number, email address, an image, and a personalized ringtone. The phone also has a quick access to the ICE (In Case of Emergency) information.
The best features of the LG Dare are its excellent 3.2 MP camera which has the innovative Schneider-Kreuznach autofocus lens and LED Flash, and its full HTML browser. The camera is much better than anything and you can edit and draw on any of your saved pics and then save it. The camera button is in the exact spot where it would be on a digital camera and you can even hold the button half way down to focus just like any digital camera. The camera also features 5 resolutions and 4 ISO settings (auto, 100, 200, and 400). Also, the LG Dare could record video and they play it back in slow motion.
The headphone port allows you to use any headphones without adapter that you are never going to carry around.
